Struggling with sources? Ketchup with this...(see what i did there?)

Not that type of sauce......but the type that you will have deal with on your GCSE exam. Yes, source work forms a large dollop of your examinations and as you will know because you are all dedicated students, it is the basis of paper two.

To help you understand source based questions and provide you with tips on how to answer them a handy booklet has been put together. Mouldy old dough!


Did you know there was a 'Penicillin Day'? I didn't, and frankly i am impressed! It just shows the impact that Flemming's....er....Florey and Chain's work has had!

This website has a few different activities and some information on penicillin, how it was discovered, how it works, and even tells you how to grow your own mould....if that sort of thing floats ya boat!

Now i know you probably listen to your sony walkman cassette player on the way home from school, but try and listen the wireless (radio) instead.

For those of you studying medicine through time there is a new series on Radio 4, starting from monday 5th February 2007, every week day for 6 weeks. Called, 'The making of modern medicine,' the series will look at the development of medicine from the time of the greeks through to the present day. it starts at 3.45pm and finishes at 4pm. It's only 15 minutes a day and it will be really useful.
